Collider worked closely with origami artist Midori Furze to develop this spot for NAB Credit Cards. We recreated each of Furze's two-times scaled paper models in CG and animated the folding in the spirit of stop-motion animation by using 3D blend-shapes.

Collider Studio used traditional origami techniques as an influence to realise this playful spot for NAB Credit Cards. Initial designs were sketched up in the studio and then numerous double scale paper version credit cards were provided to an origami artist to work up complex fold designs. The folding process was filmed as a basis for the 3D team to then rebuild the sequence as many separate stop-motion shapes. Hand-drawn animation was sketched over the CG sequences once completed to integrate nicely with the base movement.
