Collider was approached by Sydney Opera House to create a short film and key visual for VIVID Live 2012. Directed by Daniel Askill, the film involved creating a transforming head that captured the themes and ideas of VIVID Live. As a visual metaphor for the Sydney Opera House, a classical bust was formed from a 3D scan then deconstructed and subverted. The exploding head parallels the unveiling of the festival and the energy and spectacle different artists and musicians bring to the Opera House during the festival.
